During his stay in Paris, Cabot meets french philosopher Felix Guattari and the resultant friendship will have a decisive influence on the artist’s development. Concluding his studies in 1987, Cabot leaves Paris for a long period of nomadism that brought him to live in Madrid, Málaga, the Canary Islands, Cologne, Bruxelles and Berlin. He moves back with his Studio in his native city in 2006. Since 2016 he is back with his family in Paris. Cabot also publishes texts for magazines, books and catalogs on arts and architecture. He is co-editor of the french architecture magazine Stream and gives lectures and conferences, as recently at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris. The artist has also pedagogical activity, having developed workshops and given lectures in different Schools of Art around Europe and Brazil, as the AKI in Enschede (Holland), the Escuela de Bellas Artes de La Universidad de La Laguna (Spain), the HFBK (Hochschule für bildende Künste) Hamburg, among others. He was professor at the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage (Rio de Janeiro) from 2010 to 2012.
