Be Andr, who originates from Norway, has chosen London as his place of residence in 2002 after he had lived and worked in NYC and Italy. He has that cool cosmopolitan touch which is also reflected in his art.
His “mirrors” presently dominate the place. They are in fact polished steel works, equipped with large letters that utilise hypertext in order to explore how language has the ability of turning ephemeral with the use of technology. Letters are found all over Be Andr’s work. The IM letter models on the windowsill are the sketch for a massive sculpture.
Be Andr has collectors all over the globe. He likes funny coincidences, like in a US-collection where a Damien Hirst shark can be seen in a Be Andr mirror.
