META is pleased to invite every Thursday from 6 to 8pm collectors, artists and enthusiasts to an innovative exhibition concept with art, live music and a social cocktail vibe. From July 27, 2017 to August 31, 2017. Free and open to all.
META premiers “Art in the Fast Lane”, a wide artistic selection on the art and passion of motorcycle riding. Alongside paintings by Berlin based artist Marcus Sendlinger, some of Europe’s most remarkable custom motorcycle sculptures on display. Live music, photography and short films projected using the latest technology allow for all attendees to achieve a truly avant-garde 21st Century art experience in the Principality.
“Art in the Fast Lane” reveals the quest for individuality and exploring art on and around two wheels. This culture and lifestyle evolved around the café lounging street kids and hardcore motorcycle riders. A subculture made of love, style and rock & roll shared by casual city dwellers and passionate racers. Custom bikes went mainstream with 1960s movies like Easy Rider and British post-war era café racers. The two wheeled machinery and its wider culture generates an aesthetic poetry mixing potential for speed and rebellious desires. “Art in the Fast Lane” is about sculptures a man can actually ride and their contemporary culture born of individual freedom.
Visitors can expect a casual vibe. Trendy New York cocktails served throughout the weekly events; guests can relax and explore the artistic experience. The META team looks forward to welcoming all those with a passion for creativity.
