A white surface must be white, but without the white.

My paintings and drawings are spaces, surfaces deprived of any coherent narrative. They are more like visual anagrams or mental artifacts: energy fields resulting from a cathartic and methodic process at once.

I feel drawing is as a physical act to empty myself.

“Emptiness constantly falls within our reach. It is always with us, and conditions all our knowledge, all our deeds and is our life itself. It is only when we attempt to pick it up and hold it forth as something before our eyes that it eludes us, frustrates all our efforts and vanishes like vapor.”

The process behind these works is a sort of a personal ritual trance. I spend long time repeating simple monotonous shapes, adding and erasing mathematic and organic forms. These forms are often related to mathematic structures and intuitive decompositions.
