Handschuh, Pinsel, Ohr und Ideen

This painting proves to be a reference to the work Canto d'amore by Giorgio de Chirico, which is in the MoMa in New York. The red glove is now pointing up, the painted marble bust has been replaced by a green looking ear, and the place of the green ball is taken by a paintbrush. Giorgio de Chirico's juxtaposition of symbolically charged objects was a major influence on the Surrealist movement and continues to find echoes in Fabio Luks' work today.
