The center of my sculptural work is a female arcetype, big and powerful, liberated from any discipline, a figurehead for all wemen with the feeling to not fit in, to be too loud, too fat or too different.

The center of my sculptural work is a female arcetype, big and powerful, liberated from any discipline, a figurehead for all wemen with the feeling to not fit in, to be too loud, too fat or too different.
This archetype is not isolated, it`s part of an rampant nature, kind of a sculptural manifestation of Henri Bergson`s élan vital.
Henri Bergson was a french- jewish philosopher, born 1859 in Paris, france, known for his arguments that processes of immediate experience and intuition are more significant than abstract rationalism and science for understanding reality.
His concept of élan vital describes the impules of life in all beeings and things, an allness, connecting everything with everything.
Another sculptural aspect of my work is accumulation in form and content.
In 2016 I started to work with fragments of my sculptures to create installations and collumns. The first column under construction 2016 was made from epoxy resin,300cm and has a weight of 150 kg and I started to draw to find a balance to my heavy sculptures during a residency in los angeles.
What is it about your studio space that inspires you?
The morning light, the neighborhood and the jungle of models, materials, fotos and forms around me
What sounds, scents and sights do you encounter while in your studio?
I have around 30 audio books and love to hear them again and again.
What is your favourite material to work with? How has your use of it evolved throughout your practice?
I started with Clay for the models and let them found in Epoxy and Bronce. Recently I re-descovered Plaster to get more tough forms and combine them with the smooth clay forms
What themes do you pursue?
Femality: my first work group were wemen, they became icons and then godesses. Now I`m thinking to destroy the godess and see the inside of the fortress
